We are committed to making our courses as accessible as possible, including ensuring those who would otherwise be unable to attend due to financial constraints, have the opportunity to take part. It is important to us that our courses are generative and welcoming learning spaces and that voices that may often be marginalised have space to be heard within them.
We have committed to subsidising a limited number of scholarship places on each of our courses, offered on a PWYC (Pay What You Can) basis. These will be offered on a first come first served basis, rather than on any judgement around need or the amount of money an applicant offers.
Who is eligible to apply?
We welcome applications from anyone who meets the criteria of the particular course, is unable to afford the Reduced Rate and is intending to attend all the training days of the course.
What is PWYC?
Pay What You Can (PWYC) is a way of pricing events that recognises that the best person to know what is affordable is the person themselves. We operate an honesty system, trusting the individual to set their fee at something that feels both fair and manageable – and doesn’t put their basic needs in jeopardy. For some this may be close to the Reduced Fee. For others it may be a significant reduction.
What if I can no longer attend?
As places are limited, we ask that you let us know as soon as possible if you’re unable to attend the training so that we can offer the place to another person on our waiting list. PWYC places are also covered by our refund policy. However, rather than keeping an admin fee of £20 for places cancelled at least 14 days before the course start date we will simply keep any payment/processing fees incurred by the payment to cover our costs. We will let you know how much this will be at the time (as it varies depending on payment method).
How do I apply?
You can book a PWYC place through our usual ticking service. Just choose PWYC from the list of ticket options and, if there are any remaining places, add the amount you are able to pay. Places are allocated on a first come first served basis.
If there are no available places please contact us and we’ll add you to our waiting list.
